12-26-2007Archive will now also be hosting my favorite creative commons music from jamendo.com ... /IE7/ by dean edwards installed to make the page mostly work in IE6 (it also slows IE6 down but i dont care)... browsehappy logo/link added and normal footer hidden from all versions of IE since i cant get it to work right in those browsers (and dont intend to.. installing /IE7/ was enough in my book)... IE version 7 (the software... not the javascript) is standards complient enough to display whats shown correctly... i hope... also an image preloader script was added (im sure you noticed) and the annoying and badly worded redirector IE rant page was removed.... more to come later... 11-14-2006 Wow... skunklab.be lasted a whole 4 months... woo... just a word of advice for those with servers on dynamic ips out there; DONT USE AFRAID.ORG's DOMAIN SERVICES... they have pulled 2 urls out from under me now and thats 2 too damn too many(say that 'five times fast')... Ive now moved (yet again) to the no-ip.com service... the free version of course; which puts me at mephitus.no-ip.org .. hopefully this will be more reliable... thus far it has proven itself to be.... especially the interesting IP update program... Ok, now less rant and more of whats been updated; the guestbook now looks better.. the W3C validator buttons blend with the rest of the page rather than stick out like sore thumbs and the background image(s) were recompressed so they will load faster now. Coming "soon"; 'hosted' will be changed to 'projects' and 'random' will become random thoughts and various rants... and possibly sommore page polishing... 10-18-2006 A real update this time; the guestbook and oekaki bbs now work properly, and the site has a nice new design! The background images might take a while to load so be patient... Oh and if you are using internet explorer the site breaks really bad now... so please... for the sake of web developers everywhere... use a standards compliant browser... examples; Firefox, Opera, Kmeleon, Konquerer, Mozilla, Netscape, Safari... in other words... any browser but internet explorer... even ancient versions of Netscape (tested as far back as 2.02!) and obscure browsers such as 'off by one' (granted the CSS design wont show but the page will at least be usable)... way to go microsoft..... lets see how many other things you can break.... 07-01-2006 Wow... an update... sorta... did some 'under the hood' fixes; those using browsers that dont support CSS will get a cleaner view... still doesnt work right in IE tho... M$ needs to pull their head out of 1998... on a different note i unfortunatly lost the renamon.org domain so i now reside on skunklab.be ... lets see how long this one lasts... and if it takes just as long for search engines and ppl to find the furronika directory as it did last time (oh.. about half a year)... todo list; finish polishing the guestbook (yes it works... parts of it just dont blend into the rest of the site as well), add some stuff to not only the archive directory but to its intro page as well... add some links to the links page... and a tenetive idea of replacing the 'hosted' link with a 'projects' link/page... that is if i ever get the misc gadgets ive tinkered with over time organised (yeah... right... expect that section to be last... if at all).... also note the oekaki link is still buggy... ill fix it tomorrow or the next day... or... yeah.... 12-31-2005 The beta design is finally mostly complete (background image is still missing... any artists out there taking requests?).... at least complete enough to replace the tired original... still doesnt work in IE but i could care less... IE is a horrid standards-incompliant mess anyway... bit of a note; the oekaki link is a bit buggy... oekaki does work just that its hard to get back out of it once in.... be sure to click 'home' and only 'home' in order to get out and go to different parts of the site till i figure this bug out... 11-21-2005 No updates? yeah its coming... most of the content of this site is in the archive anyway... 07-21-2005 Many Sonic the Hedgehog mp3s uploaded (see archive) 07-11-2005 Misc fixes, TH99 uploaded (see random), 04-26-2005 Sonic ROMS and misc shockwave videos uploaded (see archive)... The '800x600' fix will be applied when i get the new site design finished... whenever/if ever that happenes... (anyone out there still actually using 800x600??)... Also installed Oekaki BBS (see random)... please keep any drawings PG13 plz... 11-09-2004 Changed a few things around... not much to be said... Sega Genesis "Sonic the Hedgehog" ROMS coming soon... ...along with a bugfix for '800x600' users... |
